A Retro-Pop Duo with a Wild Streak

Les Ginettes Carton is the unlikely pairing of two visual artists who met at the Rocailles art school in Biarritz. The project was born during a workshop, where they imagined a colorful duo with outrageous wigs, vintage swimsuits.

What started as a performance art experiment soon evolved into a unique musical style: sharp, humorous spoken-word lyrics set to retro-inspired electronic beats. Their world is a kitschy blend of irony and absurdity, expressed both on stage and in their videos, where playful satire meets artistic flair.

They don’t take themselves too seriously—but they take their creative role to heart. With a taste for irony, total freedom of expression, and a proudly chaotic aesthetic, Les Ginettes Carton carve out their own path with infectious energy and unfiltered creativity.
