No dia 6 de setembro organizamos uma conversa com Abeer Alkhateeb, palestiniana de Bir Nabala, sobre a resistência organizada por mulheres ao projeto colonial sionista.

Abeer Alkhateeb, de Bir Nabala, Palestina, dedica a sua vida à organização coletiva em toda a Cisjordânia. Desde entregar material escolar em comunidades beduínas, a correr todo o deserto de Masafer Yatta a instalar painéis solares para que aldeias possam ter energia, a reconstruir escolas e abrigos destruídos pelo exército sionista com as próprias mãos, a plantar oliveiras, cerejeiras e tantas outras árvores para que famílias em regiões engolidas por colonatos possam ter sustento que as permita resistir, a proteger com o seu próprio corpo quem é alvo de constantes ataques de colonos, entre tantas outras ações. Abeer Alkhateeb é parte do Popular Struggle Coordination Committee, um dos mais relevantes coletivos de apoio mútuo na Palestina, com presença em toda a Cisjordânia. Entre 29 de agosto e 7 de setembro, estará em Portugal numa viagem de solidariedade internacional organizada pelo Coletivo pela Libertação da Palestina, com o objetivo de partilhar a sua experiência e dos seus companheiros a resistir contra a ocupação sionista da Palestina há décadas, diariamente.

On the 6th of September, we’re organising a conversation with Abeer Alkhateeb, Palestinian from Bir Nabala, about the resistance organized by women against the Zionist colonial project.

Abeer Alkhateeb, from Bir Nabala, Palestine, dedicates her life to collective organisation throughout the West Bank. From delivering school supplies to Bedouin communities, to running across the Masafer Yatta desert to install solar panels so that villages can have energy, to rebuilding schools and shelters destroyed by the Zionist army with her own hands, to planting olive, cherry, and many other trees so that families in regions swallowed up by settlements can have sustenance that allows them to resist, to protecting with her own body those who are the target of constant attacks by settlers, among many other actions. Abeer Alkhateeb is part of the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee, one of the most relevant mutual support collectives in Palestine, with a presence throughout the West Bank. Between 29 August and 7 September, she will be in Portugal on an international solidarity trip organised by the Coletivo pela Libertação da Palestina, with the aim of sharing her experience and that of her comrades in resisting the Zionist occupation of Palestine on a daily basis for decades.
