CLASSICAL MEETS JAZZ & LATIN reunites Portuguese flutist, Sofia Cosme and Borneon pianist, Evelyn Hii 26 years after they met and performed together in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur in the late 90’s.
Sofia and Evelyn will share an evening of Classical music that they believe to be at its heart, fun, spontaneous and full of personality. This playful spirit comes alive with cross-over composer such as Claude Bolling, who seamlessly blends Baroque elegance with Jazz improvisation, much like a musical conversation where J.S.Bach meets Duke Ellington.
In the same way, Trevor Wye’s Latin American tunes bring colour and rhythm to a musical programme that is synonymous with No Black Tie presentation, sophisticated and spontaneous!
